LEXINGTON
BUSINESS ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION This group will provide
a positive, supportive environment for business professionals who wish to
further their business and build valuable relationships through word of mouth
marketing and constructive networking.
The definition of
Networking is to interact or engage in informal communication with
others for mutual assistance or support.
Networking requires
Commitment. The most successful networks require participants who are committed
to helping one another grow their businesses. They are a team. To build a
successful network, each participant is responsible for complying with the
guidelines established by this organization.
GUIDELINES TO BE FOLLOWED
- The weekly meetings will last approximately 1 hour,
beginning at 12 noon on Tuesdays. Members need to arrive on time and stay for
the entire meeting. It is encouraged to come at 11:45am to network with other
members.
- Only one person from each profession is permitted
to join.
- Attendance is crucial. If you cannot attend a
meeting, you may send a substitute or call someone in the group to inform them
of your absence and pass on any leads you may have. Participants are allowed 6
absences every 6 months. More than this and you are subject to removal. Written
notice will be given when 5 absences have occurred.
- Participants are expected to bring true
referrals/leads and/or visitors to weekly meetings.
- Each participant will keep a card file with a
supply of each members business cards to be given to referrals.
- Members are expected to dine during the meeting. We
have the room for free with this understanding.
COST There is a
fee of $15.00 per quarter or $60 per year and you pay for your lunch. Quarterly
fees will be paid at the beginning of each quarter. Dues must be paid in a
timely manner. Failure to pay dues is grounds for removal and your business
category will be open for a new member. |
